Dakota First Action Board Appoints Former State Representative Drew Dennert Chairman

ABERDEEN, SD — Dakota First Action PAC, South Dakota’s leading conservative think tank and action committee, announced today that its board has appointed former State Representative Drew Dennert as Chairman. Dennert of Brown County will lead the organization as it continues its mission to advance conservative values and strengthen South Dakota’s future.

“I’m honored to take the helm of Dakota First Action at such a critical time for our state,” Dennert said. “South Dakota needs leaders who deliver results, not excuses. We will stay laser focused on growing and uniting the Republican Conservative majority in the legislature, defeating far left agenda items, and standing up for the hardworking families who make this state great. We will ensure South Dakota remains the most pro-faith, pro-freedom, and pro-family, state in the country.”

The leadership transition follows the decision of outgoing Chairman Toby Doeden to step down in order to focus on his campaign for governor. Doeden has been instrumental in building Dakota First Action into a powerhouse for principled conservative policy and action.

“Toby’s commitment to South Dakota is unmatched,” Dennert said. “He built this organization into what it is today, and I’m ready to keep that momentum going.”

Doeden expressed full confidence in Dennert’s leadership. “South Dakota is at a turning point, and my focus must be 100% on the governor’s race and delivering real conservative leadership,” said Doeden. “Drew Dennert is exactly the kind of leader we need at Dakota First Action he is tough, tested, and ready to get the job done. I’m proud to hand the reins to him, and I know he’ll take this organization to new heights.”
